The Purchasing Department of SEKISUI KASEI Group is committed to transparency and fairness, providing equal opportunities by keeping its doors open to pursue excellent products and services.
We conduct our purchasing activities based on the following Purchasing and Procurement Policy, aiming to deepen partnerships with our suppliers, ensure the continuous development of our mutual business activities, and expand green procurement.

Purchasing and Procurement Policy:

1. Legal Compliance:

All purchasing must be performed in accordance with laws and regulations as well as prevailing social norms.

2. Mutual Trust:

We shall remain open to and offer equal and fair opportunities to both domestic and international suppliers and develop mutual beneficial relationships to ensure each other’s success.

3. Environmentally Preferable Purchasing:

We shall prefer to purchase materials and parts that have lesser impact on the Earth’s environment from environmentally-friendly sources to help achieve a resource-circulating society. (Promotion of Green Purchasing)

4. Being legally compliant means:

  • • Being compliant with laws and regulations as well as prevailing social and ethical norms;
  • • Addressing issues regarding human rights and working conditions as priorities;
  • • Actively engaging in activities to conserve the environment and ensure safety, and
  • • Purchasing from financially sound suppliers to ensure sustainable relationships.
  • • Maintaining appropriate standards of quality, price and delivery, constantly improving quality assurance procedures.

Environmental Procurement Guidelines

Based on the Purchasing and Procurement Policy and the Environmental Policy of SEKISUI KASEI Group, we have established the following Environmental Procurement Guidelines for transactions with suppliers. We select and conduct business with suppliers who agree to and implement these guidelines.

1. Energy Usage

We strive to address climate change by reducing GHG emissions, lowering energy consumption, and effectively utilizing renewable energy.

2. Water Usage

We aim to reduce water usage and ensure that wastewater does not pollute the natural environment.

3. Impact on Biodiversity

We conduct business activities with consideration for biodiversity and engage in efforts to conserve biodiversity through social and regional contributions.

4. Pollution Prevention and Environmental Conservation

We work to prevent pollution of the air, water, and soil, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

5. Waste Reduction and Resource Circulation

We ensure proper waste management and reduction, promote the resource reuse, and strive for resource circulation. Additionally, to realize a circular society, we prioritize purchasing raw materials and components with lower environmental impact from suppliers that have minimal environmental burden (promotion of green procurement).
