Initiatives for Water Usage
Recognizing the importance of sustainable water use and management as a critical environmental issue, we conduct our business activities with a commitment to coexist with the natural environment. Considering the global challenges of water scarcity and water pollution, we believe it is essential to understand the specific conditions of each region and utilize limited resources effectively.
SEKISUI KASEI Group is dedicated to promoting sustainable water use by managing water resources appropriately and reducing water consumption in accordance with the unique issues of each region.
Goals, Initiatives and Achievements
SEKISUI KASEI Group sources and uses the necessary water for its business operations from "tap water," "industrial water," and "groundwater." Recognizing that water is one of the Earth's precious resources, we promote the efficient use of water across all our production sites.

Identification and Response to Water-Stressed Areas
SEKISUI KASEI Group conducts assessments to identify water-stressed regions and evaluate related risks in the areas where we operate. Using the Aqueduct 4.0 water risk mapping tool developed by the World Resources Institute (WRI), we identified that 5 production sites are in regions with high water stress. The water withdrawal at these sites accounts for approximately 3% of the Group’s total water use. Interviews with each site confirmed that no water-related issues have emerged at present.
However, we remain committed to the appropriate and efficient use of water resources and will continue to promote the effective utilization of this limited resource.
